Study: Ages of social network users | Royal Pingdom
How old is the average Twitter or Facebook user? What about all the other social network sites, like MySpace, LinkedIn, and so on? How is age distributed across the millions and millions of social network users out there?
To find out, we pulled together age statistics for 19 different social network sites, and crunched the numbers.

BBC - BBC Internet Blog: A new global visual language for the BBC's ...
The BBC website began its official life back in December 1997 with this very simple design. It was a basic offering with two sections to the site. Over time it has grown to encompass a great deal more. However due to the organic way in which the website evolved and the old structure of the business, with dozens of small design teams working independently of each other, the site had a fairly schizophrenic nature once you delved into its depths.

oldmasterflash.com
oldmasterflash.com is one of Futurate's internally sponsored projects (i.e. there wasn't a client). It was designed to explore the possibilities offered by integrating Adobe Flash, CakePHP and jQuery. The site allows anyone to create a painting in the style of the renowned Renaissance painter Guiseppe Archimboldo. Website visitors use an intutive Adobe Flash interactivity to create their painting from a range of pre-existing stamps. They can also select a background and frame for their masterpiece. Once complete they can save their work and publish to the public gallery for other artists to rate and comment on.
