Futurate connects South Yorkshire

Futurate is to redevelop the website fore@SY Connects (Electronic Services for South Yorkshire), an award-winning partnership organisation comprising four local authorities, health and emergency services, the voluntary sector, Job Centre Plus, Yorkshire Forward and the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive.

The primary objective of the e@SY Connects programme is the provision of easy access to essential public information and services for all individuals and businesses on a 24/7 basis.

Methods of delivery involve online touch-screen kiosks, an interactive website at www.easyconnects.org.uk, Digital Interactive Television (DiTV) and mobile devices (such as phones).

Central to the service is the concept that those citizens in greatest need should not be disadvantaged by lack of access to technology.
