Sophisticated Calendaring

Many content management systems offer built-in calendars, but few offer the range of features provided by Facilitate CMS.

Using the Facilitate CMS Calendar means:

  • site members or members of the public can add calendar items;
  • events can go live immediately or only after approval by a website manager;
  • event listings can be comprehensive or simple descriptions;
  • recurring events can be created, with the start and end dates set;
  • events listings can be given in a graphical calendar interface or browsed using a 'What's on next?' feature.


The Facilitate CMS events tool can be used to:

  • advertise your organisation's events;
  • allow site members to add their own events;
  • allow members of the public to add their own events list(s).

The Calendar in Use

  • www.artsderbyshire.org.uk uses Facilitate CMS's calendar to allow site visitors to create comprehensive listings for their art events.
  • The ICT Hub uses FacilitateCMS's calendar to allow volunteers and community workers to advertise forthcoming IT seminars, conferences and training events.
  • Our forthcoming site for The Kroto Innovation Centre will use the calendar function to list forthcoming tours of the facilities and other activities.
